Maybe there’s a shortage of communities in sf because your company culture is your community.
Because when you come to this city, it’s to work on chasing a dream. Anything otherwise and you’ll probably be inspired to leave.
When everyone’s working so hard, spending 24/7 at their offices, how do you even have fun other than by having fun working?
And if you don’t work hard, then our company will fire you or go bankrupt by wasting money on you and then you have no money and will have no choice but to leave the city.
So how do you find your community in sf?
Find your community in the mission you're chasing.
Anything else and I don’t see you lasting here.
And even if you do try to stay here without being mission driven, you’ll most likely be very unhappy.
It’s ruthless, it’s 996, it’s overworking for low pay, so if you’re going to stay and suffer, you might as well suffer for something that makes you happy.
